Inter Milan have reportedly agreed to pay what Chelsea requested from them to sign Spanish full-back Marcos Alonso.

According to Milan based newspaper Il Giornale, the Nerazzurri's initial of €6 million for a year loan with a €15 million obligation to buy was turned down by Chelsea before they decided to match the €25 million asking price.

Marcos Alonso will likely accept to join his former manager at Chelsea, Antonio Conte in Serie A, where he is likely to play in his preferred position at left wing-back.

Kwadwo Asamoah's injury has forced Inter Milan into the market for a left wing-back and Inter Milan manager Antonio Conte has made Alonso his number one target for a January move back to Italy.

Antonio Conte signed Marcos Alonso for Chelsea in 2016, on a five-year contract worth £24 million.
