Chelsea manager Frank Lampard handed a senior debut to yet another Academy star, Tariq Lamptey. The full-back who was called to replace injured Reece James was thrown into the match against Arsenal on Sunday, replacing Fikayo Tomori at right-back early in the second half. The youngster didn't disappoint his manager and produced a performance that got everyone talking positively about him.

However, Frank Lampard has refused to take all the credits for discovering another star.

"We all trusted him, it was a team effort that one, but the boy himself, does he have confidence? That was my question to Jody, are you sure he can handle this moment, in this game which is a big moment, and Jody said yeah, he can.

"He's a lad that make something happen, and he surely did. He helped us change the game today" Lampard said.

Lamptey is likely to retain his place in the squad, covering for injured Reece James who is not expected to be fit for Wednesday's clash against Brighton and Hove Albion.
