Chelsea has a great opportunity for a strong second half of the season which is already in motion with a decent FA Cup win against Nottingham Forest. Up next Chelsea meets Hull City which further sees the chance to play some fringe players and Academy youngsters. Ultimately, giving them more opportunity to prove their worth to the team.

Chelsea’s next 2 premier league games, present an opportunity to get maximum points, from Burnley at home and Newcastle away, Chelsea needs to get 6 points from the 6 available, before facing the tough round of fixtures following that.

Chelsea's round of fixtures after Burnley’s game:

Since a recent strength of ours is being motivated during these big games, we would need every ounce of that to get through this period. This period effectively defines our season. We would need all our quality, new signings and determination to get through this. If the team can successfully navigate the premier league fixtures with 15 points or more, it should be deemed successful. The Champions League fixture against Bayern Munich presents an opportunity to go farther than the round of 16 since 2014 when we were beaten by Atletico Madrid in the semi-finals.

In summary plenty of opportunities to pounce upon:
  • Solidify top 4 position so we can qualify for UCL next season
  • Continue on to have a great run in the FA Cup - quite possibly our best chance to win a silverware
  • Aim big to beat Bayern in the Champion's League and move into the quarter-finals and beyond
