Chelsea head coach Frank Lampard is not getting depressed about how the transfer market has gone for Chelsea.

The Blues are yet to sign a single player and Lampard confirmed that there is a very slim chance of welcoming a new signing before the transfer window closes tonight.

Lampard told the media during his press conference today that the transfer window is almost done for Chelsea.

“The window is probably 95 per cent shut for us. I know there are hours left of it,” he said.

“I wouldn’t say frustrating as I am very aware of how football is. Some things are not in my control. My first thought as always is what happens on the training pitch. It's clear that we wanted to bring players in.

“I certainly wanted to bring players in. I think I’ve made that pretty clear over the last few weeks and it hasn’t happened.”

Chelsea tried unsuccessfully to sign PSG's Edinson Cavani and Napoli's Dries Mertens.
