Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante is expected to be out of action for at least three weeks after limping out of the pitch in the 12th minute during Chelsea’s 2-0 defeat against Manchester United on Monday.

Chelsea head coach Frank Lampard said after the match that the Frenchman had an adductor injury but said it didn't look good.

However, according to French publication L'Equipe, Kante underwent an in-depth medical examination in London on Tuesday and the results show that he only sustained a small tear to his adductor.

L'Equipe also stated that the injury will not keep him out of action for a long time as he's expected to return to training in three weeks.

If the report is accurate, Kante is expected to miss Chelsea games against Tottenham, Bayern Munich, Bournemouth, Liverpool, Everton and Aston Villa.
