It has been well documented in the January window how frustrated Frank has been. He has publicly come out in several instances stating "what the problem is" and he knows "exactly what he wants". Taking our chances and being more clinical in finishing has been a major problem and Frank simply wanted a bit of help in this window for him to do his job at the utmost level.

No help was provided to Frank and he is now left in a position where he needs to reset, motivate the group again and ultimately make them believe he trusts them. However, that's what you think.....

He did exactly the opposite against Leicester and he sent a damning message to the board.

Message 1: Kepa's in the notice

He started Willy Caballero, not because he has faith in him a lot more than Kepa but simply to point to the board that he is not satisfied with the options available between the sticks. Frank most likely wants an elite keeper who will predominantly perform at the highest level. He is searching for a world-class shot-stopper, someone who's dominant in the box and someone who will limit these horrendous individual mistakes.

Message 2: No trust in Emerson/Alonso

The fact that Azpi's still preferred in the left-back position over Emerson and Alonso shows the lack of faith Frank has on Emerson and Alonso. In the long run, this is not sustainable as that's not a natural position for Azpi. With all due respect he has performed well in that position previously and somewhat in current times, but Frank needs a supreme left-back who can add similar impetus as Reece from the right.

Message 3: Willian for Pedro

February 2020 and this is still a legitimate substitution. Pedro is way past his prime now. The attacking impetus is simply not there anymore. It almost feels like the game is moving too fast for him. Then to put the cherry on top by replacing him with Willian. Now, let's be honest, this hasn't been a better season from Willian but he is still miles away from what Chelsea requires in the wing position. Chelsea needs goals and assist and not ONLY the work rate. Frank is desperate for regular goal-scoring winger.... or wingers!

Message 4: Batshuayi and Giroud are not in his plans
When the game was locked at 2-2 with 7 mins and stoppage time to go, Frank brought on Barkley in place of Tammy. Frank rather play Willian/Mount as a false 9 than give Batshuayi a chance. This is the lack of confidence Frank has in his back up strikers. Not to mention Giroud did not even make the squad. There was a reason Frank was crying out for a goal-scoring forward who can fill multiple spots up front and against Leicester it was clear to see where the team was lacking.

As a conclusion, the international break is timely. Hopefully, it will allow the fans, the team and most importantly Frank to regroup and focus for the remainder of the season. There's still a lot at stake and Chelsea must find a solution within this squad right now to make this a successful season.
