Former Chelsea Academy star Jeremie Boga has reiterated his desire to continue his development at Sassuolo amid transfer interest from several clubs in Europe.

Boga leaves Chelsea for Sassuolo in £3.5m deal but retains a €15m buyback option for the winger. However, the 23-year-old believes he still has a lot to learn in Sassuolo.

“Sassuolo are the perfect project for me,” he said on Instagram as quoted by Football Italia.

“I felt that everyone wanted me: from the coach and board to the players.

“I was shy at the beginning and, when I arrived, I spoke very little. This season has gone better because I’ve started speaking Italian.

“The fans have always made me feel at home. When I dribble, I hear their voices and I like it very much.

“De Zerbi’s very important to me, he’s helped me grow a lot. I think I can still do a lot with him and grow even more.”

The Ivory Coast international has been linked with moves to Barcelona, Napoli and Chelsea.
