AC Milan may have to drop Gianluigi Donnarumma asking price by 50% to sell him in the summer.

Donnarumma's contract expires in 2021 but the 21-year-old is yet to accept terms to renew his contract and Milan know they can't allow him to enter the final year of his contract.

Milan is facing financial difficulties, they were banned from Europa League for one year after FFP breach last year. This means the Rossoneri can't afford to waste any money or allow their biggest asset to leave as a free agent next year.

According to Sky Italia, Donnarumma looks set to leave Milan once the window reopens due to the complexity of the situation.

However, the current economic situation caused by Covid-19 outbreak is more bad news for AC Milan with the club set to take as much as 50% cut to sell the Italian International goalkeeper.

Many reports in Italy have suggested that Chelsea are most serious about signing the 21-year-old goalkeeper as a replacement for out of form Spain International Kepa Arrizabalaga.

AC Milan value Donnarumma at €70m but an offer of around €40m could be enough to land Chelsea one of the world's most promising goalkeepers.
